Overview

The Employee Productivity By Week Report is used to provide the retailer with an overall snapshot of employee productivity within a number of weeks.

Its purpose is to allow the retailer to analyze how the company’s employees are performing, and take corrective action to improve performance.

Custom terminology allows you to define the retail terminology used within your business. Once defined, terminology automatically appears on criteria forms and reports. For more information on defining custom terminology refer to the article Custom Terminology.

Criteria Form

Refer to the article Report Criteria Form Standard Field Operation for help with the standard criteria form fields.

The following table describes the operation of non-standard fields where appropriate.

Field Description
Weeks to Report on This fill-in field denotes the number of weeks to report on. It has a default value of 13.
Select Employee This drop-down field allows the user to select employees. It has the option to select All or a specific employee's productivity.

Note: A drop-down box should appear listing the first twelve values. If a drop down list does not appear, or additional values not seen are required, they may be accessed by typing in the value.

The * wildcard may also be used in the drop-down box to bring up additional values. With wildcard operators, you can search for words with variable characters. You can position wildcard operators at the beginning, middle, or end of words. For example, O* would show a list including all words beginning with O, whereas *o would show a list of any words that have o in any location in the word.

Reports

Refer to the section Understanding the Intelligence Store Data for help with the standard values included in Retail Arena reporting.

The following table describes non-standard columns where appropriate.

Column Description
Productivity This column shows the Sales Dollar value divided by hours. This gives the retailer an idea of the employee sales level.  For example if Employee A had a productivity level of $239.  That would tell the user that Employee A makes on average $239 per hour.
Targ Productivity This column shows the employees expected productivity level for a given week. If they work in multiple stores then their target productivity will be the stores target productivity where they worked the most hours.
